Production of an indoor location-based mobile app game, created in collaboration with researcher Dr Emma Whittaker.
Working like a treasure hunt, the game required visitors to find items held in museum displays within a time limit. The app utilised Bluetooth Low Energy beacons, installed in locations across the museum, to track the position of players and indicate when an item was near, using an algorithm developed from scratch for the project.
The app was showcased at the International Conference on Interactive Storytelling, Copenhagen.
