A collaborative project with poet Lytton Smith and students from the BA (Hons) Illustration programme at the University of Plymouth.
Lytton's book-length poem 'The All-purpose Magical Tent' (2009, Nightboat Books) was re-imagined for Twitter using five fictional characters that algorithmically tweeted illustrated fragments of poetry from separate accounts. These could be followed directly on Twitter, or viewed through a web app, that allowed users to either combine the tweets into a single intersecting narrative, or hone in on individual threads.
Illustrations below are by Jamie Bradford, Sophia Viney, Claire Knight and Andjela Vranjes respectively.
I conceived and coordinated the project, built the system that generated the tweets, and designed and developed the web app.
